Like the rest of the country, here in Southern New Jersey we to have been in a heat wave with the temperature being in the high 90's for the last few weeks. Awakened after a long winter (Cover Off)

Well it hit close to 80 degrees her in South Jersey yesterday and I just had to take a look. Pulled the cover, the water looked great and I began to fill it to bring the water level back up. Water temperature was a chilly 58 degrees, brought out a lot of the deck furniture and then made a...

Winter Cover: Anybody go from a solid to a mesh cover? What is the verdict?

My solid cover verdict finally needs replacing after 6 winters. I am trying to decide if I want to go with a mesh cover this time to help with siphoning rain water and melted snow from the top. Some of the reviews I have read from people with a mesh cover complain to much dirt and silt do get...

Do you like: Bubbles / Waves / Ripples / Nothing?... Return Eye Aiming!

It seems i am constantly aiming my return eye and i was wondering if anyone else does the same? Sometimes i have it pointing so low that there is not even a ripple on the surface if just want to float without spinning around the lazy river. Sometimes i point it up to create ripples and a...

Video: Of my oval AGP installed on retaining wall due to unlevel yard

Most of you have seen photos of my pool in the past and of my particular bad sloping yard and what i did to compensate the slope by building a retaining wall and installing our pool on top of it. I got a request from a friend of mine out of state to show him a video of it. So i thought i...

How do you add your granular products?

I just had a conversation with another above ground pool owner and we started talking about how we manage our pools. The conversation turned to granular pool products and how we add them to the pool. I would like to get your feedback on how you add your granular products. 1. Add thru skimmer...

546 LED Color Pool Light...Anyone try to make one work with an AGP????

I currently use the 100 watt night lighter in my oval 12 x 24 and i attach it to one end and it really does light up the entire pool. But using the 100 watt halogen bulb really uses a lot of electric. I just found this LED 12 volt light on ebay and was wondering if anyone has tried to apply...

My Wedding Cake support arm fix write up.

I always hated the design of the wedding cake support arm that goes from the top step upright and then screws into your deck. It has to set on top of your top rail and then you have to put a block or something on your deck to make up the difference in height so you could screw in into place...

Miss old site, looking for all posts in a topic

I really miss the old site, still trying to figure this one out. Can someone explain to me how to see all of the posts that are in a topic and not just the first 3 or 4? For instance above ground pools has 5 posts when you click on it and show off your pool has 2 posts.

Intex pool forum...Should they have there own?

What are your thoughts on a dedicated Intex pool forum?? It seems 50% of the topics in the above ground pool forum are about Intex pools. Do you think it would be helpful to Intex owners t go directly to that forum for help and advise rather than search thru above ground??
