Does anyone else think the pool math app is useless? It's like a 1992 platform that is really difficult to navigate. I just dont get what it is trying to accomplish. I put in my data and it does nothing. I figured it would tell me what to do/add based on my levels. Any recommended readings so I can figure this thing out and perhaps develop a better option for us all?

Not sure what the issue is ?

I use PoolMath every day on my android phone - it reliably stores my logs, suggests any additions I may need to make, has a handy calculator for figuring how much of something to add and so on.
I've found it pretty clear, intuitive and simple to be honest.

Methinks you are remembering 1992 a little fondly - not sure what platform you were using then, but it sure wasn't your iPhone ;)

What are you having difficulties with? What are you trying to compute? Maybe old pool math is more up your alley.

It's just a calculator. You're responsible for factoring all the variables such as your pool type, the point in the season and climate.

Didn't mean to offend anyone, that was a quick response! I put my levels in and got a blank stare in return. It literally offered me nothing. Based on the the response above, it's easy to deduce that I'm the problem.

Maybe it's just a matter of approach.

Click on each parameter. Enter your baseline and target and it'll suggest what you need. (Sometimes you also need to select your preferred choice when there's more than one option. The many forms of chlorine for example).

Then once everything is adjusted, log the results. The log page isn't designed to tell you what to do, it's about storing what you did on the main page. :)

Yes! This old pool math site is much better. Everything in one spot. Thank you.

There are two versions of the PoolMath App - one free and one you pay an annual subscription for. The free version of the App is very limited; it just does simple calculations and doesn't store any data. The paid version ($8 per year) is very slick and allows for the storage of data and other features.

Were you using the paid version or the free version?

I put in my data and it does nothing.
May I ask, after you entered your test results, did you click on the check mark to save the data in the upper right hand corner? From there it should update the overview page where you can click on the individual tiles for more advice how to adjust the chemistry.
