I have 40000 gallon pool. My pentair pool pump panel broke yesterday. Would like to replace new pool pump.

Could you please suggest option to replace current pentair pool pump? More energy efficient.

Thanks in advance

Jad,

The IntelliFlo3 is a great pump, but you will have to do some plumbing changes as it has different port locations than your current IntelliFlo.

You could use the IntelliFlo VSF, which is a drop in replacement.

No matter what pump you get, plumb it with high temp pump unions.. (I 'think" the IntelliFlo3 comes with unions..)

It does not look like you have an automation system.. If that is true, then the IntelliFlo3 would be your best choice as it comes with an App so you can control it with your phone.

What is wrong with your current pump??

Thanks,

Jim R.

Panel is broken, I ordered replacement panel but the connection port is not matching. My pump is very old and also it cost us lot of electricity

The age of the pump is not what cost you money. The new ones are virtually the same. Its how you are using it that cost money if you are running it at its highest speed. There is zero savings if doing that. Its a 3+ hp pump (yours could have been rated at 3.95THP) and that is a lot of electricity if not slowed down.

Jad,

Just to follow up on what poolman says above...

I have an old IntelliFlo pump that runs 24/7, mostly at 1200 RPM.. Doing that costs me less than $20 bucks a month..

If you know for a fact that your pump is using too much electricity, it is not the pump, but how you are using it..

Tell us how long you run the pump each day and at what speed(s).

Do you have a heater??

Thanks,

Jim R.
