I just received my kit and did the tests. Below are my values:

FC 7
CC .5
pH 7.5/7.8
CH 75? I'm not sure how blue it needs to turn. It was a light blue
TA 80? Again not sure how red. It was a light pinkish
CYA 0? I don't know if I did something wrong here... The solution was clear. Filled the tube all the way to the top and could still see the dot

What should my next course of action be?

Our first question back to you is how does the water look? Is it 100% crystal clear to the bottom? If not, or if you have any doubt about possible algae (even if you don't see it), do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test first.

But looking at those numbers at face-value:
1 - An FC of 7 is usually fine, but with no CYA (stabilizer) to buffer its strength from the pool and swimmers it's very strong. I would add stabilizer via the sock method with a CYA goal of at least 30 for now. You can always add more later as it gets warmer.
2 - CH test ends when it's a light baby blue. Sounds like you got it, but you need to be sure of the pool surface. If it's vinyl, then the CH that low is fine. But if you have a plaster or pebble type surface, it's way too low. Double check and let us know.
3 - I like to refer to the TA color as Barbie pink. The key is when it stops changing color. Once it no longer gets darker, that's your TA.

So for now, get a sock soaking for the stabilizer. After about 30 min of soaking, squeeze it to get all the mush out of the sock and you're done. Do not pour stabilizer granules directly into the skimmer. Let the sock do its thing. Use the PoolMath to help you with the dosage amount if needed. Also confirm the pool surface type. Post some pics if you need us to see it. And lastly, the quality of the water. If you have any doubt about water clarity or algae, do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to be safe.

We'll coach you from there. Let us know if you have any questions.

The 7 FC was from last night and I got the same result this morning. But I will confirm again tonight/tomorrow.

Can I use 90-92% calcium chloride ice melt to raise the CYA?

The water looks pretty decent in my opinion. I can see to the bottom. Can you tell the material from this pic?

NO. Calcium chloride raises CH. CYA is CYA (or conditioner, stabilizer)

2 different parameters entirely

FC last night was 7.5. This morning it was 6.5 (tested about 2 hours after sunrise so may have lost a little to sunlight).

CYA hasn't come in yet but I'll be adding that as soon as it does.

There's a brown "dust" like substance at the bottom of the pool. When I sweep it it poofs up just like dust. How do I get rid of that? I'm constantly brushing, the filter has been on 24/7 and the robot has been on during the day.

Anything else I should do chemical-wise?

The brown dust is likely dead algae

Keep doing what you are doing.

vacuum it with the robot or cleaner.......brush it up into the current so the filter can get it. What is your filter psi? Need to backwash?
