Test from the start of the season

Any weak spots?
You're sitting pretty. NICE job with the FC !!!

Always round up the CYA

Calcium isn't needed for vinyl unless you have a gas heater. Let the rain wipe that out over time and save your money.

How are you testing ?

Yea I work like 60 hrs a week so the wife get it’s tested every Friday for me if it’s crazy ill test with my kits. Then adjust. But my ph is always around 7.8 should it be lower?

My pool get full sun all day, I just changed over from a sand filter to cartridge filter so I’m curious to see how this year goes on it.

Maintain a high 7 for swgs and it will go longer between doses. At 8+, dose to 7.8.

Maybe there will be quicker debris removal, but over all chemistry is unaffected.

I’m sure your wife can learn how to do the testing. It’s fun.

Not only that but unless the pool store is across the street, I bet she could do all the testing in the time it takes to drive to the store, wait for the results and drive home.

It’s up to you how you test. Though know that this group relies on TFP methods so the responses you get are in line with the method that we all use here. If you have your own test kit you might as well use it and know that you’re getting accurate results. Later when/if something happens the responses will still be the same and you’ll likely be using your own kit then to do a slam. You can also choose to follow the pool stores advice. TFP and the pool store often differ on recommendations so pick a side and then stick with what works for you.

It’s like 5 mins and she does it on the way to Publix
I can run the daily tests including getting the sample, in half that time. If I wanted to do all the tests it would be the same 5 mins or less.

Storage closet, testing location and pool, all in one pic.
