i know, not a popular choice in here, but I don’t mind using it at the beginning of the season or out on vacation. Anyway, I have an inline chlorinator and on max right now but it does not seem to be putting any CL in. It’s a Jandy and uses Tri-Chlor pucks. The pucks are dissolving but no response on the testing for FC. Right now supplementing liquid to keep up on FC.
Does the temp of the water affect this?
FC-2
Cc-0
Ph-7.6
TA- 75
Cya-not registering so I’m going with 0 (probably why my fc is 0 without supplementing liquid)

Thank you

CYA zero and FC not holding rings ammonia alarm bells.

When adding liquid chlorine now, how long does this hold? I'd suggest to rule out first that there is ammonia in the pool.

Take out the pucks, add 10ppm worth of liquid chlorine with the pump running and test FC 30min later.

What is you water temp?
Pucks do dissolve a lot slower in cold water. And many of our test aren't very accurate in cold water.
What is clarity and dirt/wall growth like? A load of algae/bacteria/organics ,like one may get on opening, can suck up a lot of CL really fast

Temp is at 60. Water is clear, no growth, but tons of pollen here in Maryland.

Ok, held at 10, so don’t think it’s ammonia. Im going to clean filters out and test again this week. I just opened two weeks ago and I like to take it slow and steady on balancing. Got my ph in ck along with the CH and TA. Next is dedicating some time to my stabilizer.
