Hi Chris i’m hoping you can help me. We recently performed a pool leak detection and part of the process is to send pressurized air into the pipes to detect an eventual leak. After this process i checked my air blower jandy psb 220 and it wouldn’t turn ON and could smell like something has burnt. Do you know what might have happened and how to fix it ?DK,
Does the motor feel hot? Sounds like the thermal overload is tripping your motor. Is anything impeding flow of air to the motor cooling fan or there may be something in the air line that is causing high discharge pressure that is overloading the motor. Did you perform the install yourself? A photo of the wiring would be helpful as well as the motor ID plate. Any possibility it was wired to the wrong voltage?
