I posted this in the main room forum but this might be a better place:

just upgraded my pool control panel and I cannot turn my cleaner booster pump on unless I toggle either the pool light or yard lights on.

I meticulously moved all connections one by one after having taking pictures of the original position on the old board.

Thank you
Hubert

Welcome to TFP.

Show us pictures of the wiring in the IntelliCenter cabinet.

list what is connected to the LINE and LOAD screws of each AUX relay.

Thank you will need to open the panel to take pictures but will do it later i need to drive my wife to the cancer treatment center.

I did not touch any of the connection to the Line and load screws on each AUX relay but possibility ...

Hubert, I am confused as to what you did.

If you meticulously moved all connections then you touched all the LINE and LOAD screws.

What did you upgrade from?

Bert,

Each relay can be plugged into any of the relay connections...

In theory, all the relays should be in a specific physical location.. But, many installers just use any relay that is handy.. So, just because a relay is in the 'Aux 1' location, does not mean it was wired as the Aux 1 relay...

You need to determine which relay is being used to turn on the booster pump and then follow the little coil wire back to the main card and make sure it is plugged into the correct Aux port.

Put another way.. Just because a relay is in the Aux 1 position, does not mean that the original installer used that relay as the Aux 1 relay.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Now tell us what is connected to each relay and which AUX jacks each relay is plugged into on the PCB.

Nothing is labeled and we cannot see which CBs connect to which relays from your pics.

H,

Tell us more about your problem..

Are you saying that when you turn on just the pool, or just the yard light, the booster pump comes on? Do the pool and yard light also come on??

Or are you saying that you turn on the booster pump, but nothing runs until you turn on your pool light or your yard light???

Thanks,

Jim R.

Well, I did replaced the power supply as required so yes I did touch the leads to the breakers but was careful to do one at a time. I had a 2007 Easy touch panel that I wanted to upgrade to the app so I can monitor the pool while away! The relays were reconnected as originally.
Thank you for the input

H,

I suspect that when you turn on the booster pump, your Yard light comes on... It that true???

Sounds like you have the Aux 1 and Aux 3 connectors backwards on your main card.

Thanks,

Jim R.

H,

I have no clue what the problem might be... There should be no link between a yard lights and the booster pump..

It sounds more like a programming issue or maybe a bad board.

It no longer sounds like a wiring issue to me..

Sorry,

Jim R.

I have an electrician friend of mine looking into it today! Will give an update later when we find the problem!
Thank you for the help

You were right!! Well we found the problem; it turns out there was nothing wrong with the wiring only that the person who programmed the pump had the wrong assigned circuit...

Thank you for the help
