Missing part on spa floor supply

First time pool owner and poster. Can anyone help identify what part is missing here? I bought a house with a 20ish year old pool and am learning as much as I can and repairing small issues here and there. I notice the spa, pictured here, seems to be missing a piece on the supply inlet on the floor of the hot tub. There's a threaded female portion in the gunnite and it seems as though some other piece with a threaded male end is meant to be here on the floor of the spa. It functions well without it, but it shoots a powerful single stream up through this supply. I imagine there is meant to be a diffuser-type piece that's missing here. I don't know the brand of the jets in this pool. It's a Pentair system, and there's a Paramount cleaner system too, but I don't know the brand of jets or returns. Thank you for any help you might provide. Again, it functions without this piece, but I'm OCD about everything being in its place. I've found a few other missing pieces in the heater (thermostat), cleaning system (O-ring), etc., but this one has me stumped.

Welcome to TFP.

That type of return is usually used for some type of fountain that can be screwed into the fitting. A length of PVC pipe with a screw fitting on the end and whatever type of fountain spray at the top.

You can try one of the Hayward eyeballs in it to direct the water flow. Or find the pipe that feeds it on your equipment pad and see if there is a valve to shut off the flow.

Looks like it may have been a Paramount Parascope fountain. Not inexpensive.

Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the idea. The folks before me did always seem to put the most expensive thing in, which I'm learning as I repair things :). I got excited that it might be a parascoping fountain, but alas, the pipe is only a couple of inches deep, so wouldn't house the parascope. :-(. You gave me the idea though that it might just be another paramount cleaner head type fitting here.

Can you read and report all writing on the main drain covers and the other fitting on the floor?
Thanks. I'm sending my daughter in with goggles to try to discern the text on what I'm assuming are the 4 return covers. Great idea. Here is a fitting from the jet on the pool side that looks similar to the ones at the bottom of the hot tub. It has a bunch of generic safety and compliance text, but I can't make out any manufacturer, unless that cursive "W" means something to y'all. Thanks again.

You can see a bunch of writing on the drain covers and there is also writing on this fitting.

Most likely the manufacturer is the same and they can identify the missing part.

If you remove the drain covers, you technically cannot reinstall them because they are not up to current codes.

Good to know. Those are the paramount cleaner system pop-up heads the arrow is pointing to. I know because I had the pool guy get the cleaner system going again, and was able to get the wrench that removes and reinstall those cleaner heads. Perhaps the spa supply is a head like that also. The one in the center with a female thread, though is the spa water inlet to allow the overflow of the waterfalls, so it has a different function than the other cleaner heads. Could be the same manufacturer, though, thanks for the idea.

It is Waterway.

What happened to the center?

Thank you. I think you might have solved it. It looks like it's a waterway. Fiberglass Wall Fitting / Aerators / Vac Lock Fitting - Waterway Plastics

To clarify, that pic I'm showing is actually a cover that goes around a supply jet (not drain) in the pool. It just looks like those drain covers in the spa with a missing center. The reason the center is missing is that it surrounds the pool supply jet rather than covering a drain.

When I look at the back, it has a number 642-2150, which is a waterway drain cover, although a newer version looks a bit different. I think you're correct in that this is meant to be a waterway fitting.

Thanks for your concern about safety. It's not a drain cover though. Rather, it's a supply fitting. The supply works without any fitting, but I'd like to find the correct fitting anyway.

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm going to keep looking and find the correct waterway part that goes here.
