My pump will come on, run for about 30-90 sec and then shut off . What is odd is that the read out on the control panel shows that it is running as does the hand held controller in house . I have turned it on and off , also turned the breakers on and off and it still does the same thing. Still kind of new at this, can anyone suggest troubleshooting steps ?

Is there water able to get in the suction line when it’s trying to run?
How old is the motor? It sounds like its thermal switch is kicking the motor off. That would not show on your controller, as it is still feeding voltage to the pump.

What do you mean ? Not sure how to tell about water in the suction line? The pump basket shows water as always and starts up as normal
The pool is a year old , as you stated the controller shows the pump is running after it kicks off . I assune that I need to call a tech to check to see if it is the thermal switch ?
Was suggesting to check any valves to make sure they aren’t closed and blocking water flow to the pump.

If it is one year old and under warranty then make a warranty claim and let them figure it out.
