Plan was to get the water below the return but above the lights. Went about an inch too far and the water line is at the top of one of my pool lights (and above the other as it should be). How bad is this? Should I try to top off the pool with an inch or two of water to fully cover the other light? Bit of a freeze started last night (26 degrees now). Expect to warm up a bit with rain/snow in forecast for tomorrow, then will be frozen for at least the following week. So if I am going to add, now would be the time to do it (or tomorrow if storm insufficient).

I would just to remove all doubt and because the favorable window to add water is closing. This week won't be so bad and we might get an inch of ice on the pool (not 5 inches). But that's if they're right and/or nothing changes.

I could have given you the water a couple days ago. I drained 10 inches and it lasted 2 weeks and was full to the brim again.
