Pool invader

I have been battling this same invader for a few years now. I thought it was algae for a while and shocked for algae levels and mustard levels and still comes back. I have no ocl and CCs are less than 1. I have vacuumed to waste 4 times this year and there will be small piles of it on the floor less than 12 hours later and a fine dusting on the entire floor. Maybe someone can help figure out what it is.

Looks like dirt blown into the pool or dead algae from normal sanitation.

That is why we run pool cleaners in our pools.

We were wondering if she would get offended by the smell of our roast duck for Christmas last year, while she was still sitting on her second batch last year. Ducklings hatched a few days later, family seemed quite happy.

Mum returned this year, looks like she didn't mind. Bummer, means more duck poop on the pool.

But seeing the little ones swim in the pool and finding their way out (something to plan for - doesn't really cross mum's mind that just because it's easy for her to get out doesn't mean it will be for her kids) makes up for it:

Update: I believe it was MA. I shocked at high lvls for 72 hours brushing daily passing OCLT and CC tests and 5 days later I am still clear. I usually see the stuff accumulating all over the floor and walls within 24hrs. Right now I am bringing to recommended levels. Thanks again!

That looked like regular algae to me. You are testing with a good test kit, regularly? Keeping your FC at or above target for your CYA? How do you usually chlorinate?
