We are going to have our roof and patio pressure washed this weekend and the runoff is going to end up in the pool. Is there anything else I should do besides raise the chlorine to shock level prior to the event and then just keep it at shock level with the pump running until it clears up?

Thanks!

That should be about it. Let the filter run. Just treat it like the water is dirty because essentially, it is.

There isn't any way to redirect the runoff away from the pool?

Thanks. Unfortunately, whatever the gutters don't catch will end up in the pool and that may be a lot.

Here is an idea. Don't know if it would be cost effective though :)

Could you put a winter cover over the pool and run a sump pump or other submersible pump to remove most of the runoff from the cover?
