Has anyone built a kitchen on a low (5 inches off ground) deck built with Ipe? I will use steel studs with hardie backer stucco and granite tile counter top. Not really using this as a bar because we have a lot of seating on the pool patio (which is right next to it)
do i need to elevate the bottom track or will the decking be good enough?
Thanks I am new so any advice would be great.

Have to build Ipe deck first then Kitchen on top.
I saw one of the builds i on a deck and he used composite decking. Thanks

I am building an outdoor kitchen as we speak on an Ipe deck as well. Mine deck is up off the ground about 3-4', but I did put some Ipe pieces under the bottom rail to keep it up off the deck. You can see them in this picture. Forgive the condition of my Ipe, but I am waiting until I finish the kitchen to sand/restain. Riles

Mine will be 4-5 inches off the ground.
Thanks for the reply.
We are getting hit with a bit of snow so my project will be stalled a little bit now.
