I was wondering if anyone has tried this system? http://www.paddockevacuator.com/We are having huge issues with chlorine smell...I have advised them to lower CC because it is around .5 first. But I would like advice on this system to help with smell and lower CC levels. Thank you! 300,000 Gallon indoor pool Sand IG

Hi, welcome to TFP! I do not have any experience with a system such as the paddock evacuator, but I do know that indoor pools need more attention to keep the water balance than an outdoor pool would. Can you tell us a little more about your system? How well ventilated is your current facility? Do you use an ozone system? Which type of chlorine do you use? Could you post a complete set of test results?

Thank you in advance for your advice!
Below is the data from last week. The problem is...the air control handlers are pretty new but I fear they are not sufficient and thus lies our issue and why our swim coach suggested the paddock evacuator that another teams coach suggested. It would also be too costly to replace the entire air handler system but may be necessary. We do use a continuously fed peroxolyte non chlorine shock system but it is not controlling the CC levels. The smell is really bad...I am trying to get them to shock the pool. Would a large dose of peroxolyte (potassium monopersulfate) help or go with a chlorine shock? and we use liquid chlorine. Keep in mind that increasing air circulation is treating the symptom, rather than solving the problem. The real problem is the CC levels. High CC is what causes the smell/air problems. Nearly every one of the CC readings you posted is too high, high enough to be unsuitable for swimming in most jurisdictions. If you can cut down the CC levels, there will be less going into the air, reducing the ventilation requirements. Of course you always need good ventilation regardless.

Hi Mark, Stumbled upon your post. Eventhough the post is aged, I thought I would respond. We are a premier commercial pool builder in Texas and a Paddock Evacuator distributor and installer. I can attest to the evactuator being effective in a natatorium. I have personally experienced evacuator demos in some nice natatoriums with poor air quality and it does make a notable difference. If I can assist you or anyone else by providing further information on the Paddock Evacuator including arranging a demonstration at your facility please contact me. You can view our website for our statement of qualification, references, etc. at www.proaquatic.comThank you and good luck! Larry Frasier Larry@proaquatic.comProgressive Commercial Aquatics, Inc
