I recently inherited a Ultra Frame 24 x 52 intex pool - I already own the wonderful sand filter & salt Generator. Giving the little one to my sister for my two nieces & nephew. The bigger one will remain here. But wanting to dig about 6" into the ground & level the ground off - our ground here is mostly clay & dirt. Do we get sand to level it off or no? We are going to purchase the thick foam to put underneath the pool regardless - any advise??

Hi, welcome to TFP!
A few of our members like to put foam under the pool to pad the bottom and block weeds. This thread, useful links for fellow Intex pool owners contains links to a lot of posts from fellow intex users and contains ideas for installation and some good problem solving discussions as well.

You really need to dig to get it level. Sand on top of the ground really won't cut it; it needs to be sitting level on undisturbed ground.
