I took the cover off yesterday and the water was dark murky green (blue pebble), and there was a layer of yellow silt on the steps.
Thanks tree.....thanks.
I also noticed that the DE filter was ready for cleaning, so I cleaned it out. Yellow mustard-like substance (DE and pollen) oozed out, very gross.
We normally run 1ppm FC, so I shocked it and trimmed the pH. The pool is still green (hot tub is clear as it's even been).
Pool store gave me what sounded like a coagulant to help clean the pollen out.
Any other tricks for dealing with oak pollen?

Skimmer socks or cheap nylon stockings usually catch it before it get to the filter.
