I used baquacil last year and this year I want to use chlorine and stick with that so I began my conversion4-5 days ago. I only have test strips and I didnt realize it till it was way into the process, but I noticed that backwashing often has helped a ton. I used about 12 jugs of the 182 oz bleach from walmart and about 6 bags of chlorinated shock. None of this was all at once mind you, just over time. I think I am coming along nicely. see pics.

Here is one from this morning, very foggy dreary morning It has a yellow green tinge at the bottom that I am not happy with. I am taking a sample to the store today to get it tested

It will be much easier to finish the conversion, and to take care of the pool afterwards, if you have your own test kit.

Very nice set up and thankful for the pics, especially one of the rock path to the pool. Want to show my hubby that pic as we want to do something like that. Tired of the dogs wearing paths in the yard. Figure they will use the rock path because they don't like the dew in the morning getting their feet wet. Anywho..... you will like the converted pool much better this summer I think!
