While brushing my pool my dog bumped me and I tripped falling in. I won't be doing pool work for awhile. Thats the culprit in the background.

After 4 years of relatively easy care our pool has a penny sized hole in the liner. I have not had any water loss looking for suggestions on the best way to fix it.

No the housing is fine, I just want to make sure the process of switching it out isn't complicated. I am already very frustrated over dealing with this stupid thing. I found the replacement switch through several outlets but electrical freaks me out.

So in trying to replace the seals/gaskets on my pump I broke the stationary switch. :hammer: How hard is it to replace the switch? Or is it better to just get a new pump. We have an A.O Smith 3/4 hp pump on there now. Thank you!

They had it in stock. When she said 53.00 I choked a bit. So when she got distracted I took a picture of the kit and did an amazon search. She also asked why I didn't bring my water in for testing. Funniest thing as she was trying to sell me other things I was ordering the kit.

I got it figured out. And then went to the pool store and had them tell me that it was 53.00 dollars for the kit. HMMM really same kit on amazon 24.00 dollars shipped. Got to love the pool store.

My pump needs new sealer or o rings or whatever they are called. I know the filter is a Hayward but the pump is not marked as hayward. It says A Smit Corp Mexico with a mod. C48j2n131c1c I had to take the motor off and clean debris and found that all the sealer are bad and crumbling which...

How do you bleed air out of it? The same thing happens in our pump.

My nice clear pool is now coated in yellow pollen as is everything else here. I am vacuuming daily, running the filter and using the net and no luck. A neighbor said to use a flocking agent but I really don't want to add chemicals if not needed. Any advice would be great.

Well the pool is almost sparkling. Working on the CYA numbers. Hoping that I can get all numbers level in the next few days. My kids came home from school today and said the pool looks like our first day when we moved in. Thank you TFP!

Thank you for the quick reply heading out to retest and get the stabilizer going in while I add more bleach to the witches brew of a pool. LOL.
