I put in a 3.5/5/4 sports pool in 06. I have 2 kids who are now 16 and 11. Everyone really loves it and would not change a thing.

I make my own terro from boric acid (rat poison) and clear cheapo syrup. I never knew this worked on fire ants. Will have to try it out. I hate those fire ants and am allergic. Found out the hard way few years back when got bit by 4 or 5 at once.

I have Tigger's cousin Duke over here in Tampa. Duke is a reverse brindle (black) boxer we adopted from Florida Boxer Rescue. Duke and his sister Sadie couple years back lounging by the pool. Sadie past away April 2013. They love laying by the pool but not going in.

When I checked out tec back in 06 I felt it would tear people up. I liked sheen much better and I don't remember a fina back then. Didn't end up going with any 'pebble ' in the end anyhow. Go see some of their completed builds with different finishes so you can choose what is best for you.

I would not recommend doing a direct acid wash without getting serious professional opinion on it. That said what you may want to look into which is aggressive but not as much as direct acid wash is 'California hot wash'. I have a nearly black plaster pool . Had the pool builder mix...

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa, Fl This happens all the time. Perfect example of having payments split up where they need to sign off that subs were payed and that you see their progress and response to issues. I will say my experience with 'Trendsetter Pools' in Tampa was top notch.
