    fir needles what to do.

I have needles from the fir trees in the pool, and I can not get them out if it. They love to float if touched, and will not go in the skimmer. I am sure these are very smart dudes, with an anger issue toward me. I have the little intex vac, That is a joke. got the 2500GPH pump up and running...

    cost of a solar heater

Thanks for the great info. The little dome is out, and I am going to try the DIY coil heater, I have a 500' rool of thin walled tube that is doing mothing, and some plywood, with a 1X4 around the outside. So I am going to line the board with tar paper, and then coil about 200' on the board. Then...

They left the algae to me

Read through a couple of the other algae threads that talk chemistry. I am new, and have not found the funds to buy the high dollar kit yet either. Pool school confused me until I started to see them apply it to problems. That helps in my understanding so far.

    cost of a solar heater

What about the domed shaped smaller ones, VS. The bigger mat? I could add smaller domes as funds become available. Or just save for a mat, or do my own. I really need to get the temp of the pool up some so it is more enjoyable.

    cost of a solar heater

I have been looking at the solar heaters, at 300+ for a 4X20 is it worth building my own? How much am I looking at spending for a basic hom made system? thanks Doug

need new pump for my intex

The $100 was for going factory original and buying all of the little pieces. Found a fitting on their web site that adapts the valves to the smaller hose, I ordered those, and am hoping that they will screw on the pump. Right now I am at $16, Thanks

need new pump for my intex

So would the 2650 be better, or should I find a diferent model and save for it, and just cob the 633 together for the year? I would like to be able to vac the pine needles from the floor of the pool, These are the biggest pain I have to deal with. I can get the rest of it with a net.

need new pump for my intex

Thank you for your reply. Is the intex sand filter a good system? Reading on here people seem to like it. and the 1600 seems to be enough and comes with adapters to fit my pool, or up to the 2650? This would also allow me to use a normal pool vacuum. My problem is I want to do it right, and...

need new pump for my intex

I am new here, and have been reading a lot. One question I have is, that with my 15X48 intex pool, that is about 4 years old, the original little pump died. A friend gave me a intex 633, which is 2500GPH. But he had used all of the hoses and fittings. So, If I make this pump back to...
