Oklahoma flagstone if I remember correctly. We went with it instead of Texas flagstone because it is supposed to be more durable.

It ended up right at 78K for additional stamped concrete and rocks for grotto. . The 134K was the original bid. I don't think he will build another one that cheap according to him.

During the summer when the kids are out of school my electric bill is alot higher than normal which makes it hard to really see the increase due to the pool. The main pump is a variable speed pump and it is cut back to around 75% speed and runs all day everyday. My normal electric bill during...

Sorry it had been awhile. The projector and receiver is setup each time we use it. I have a bracket mounted to the palapa/tiki hut and the projector mounts to it with one bolt/wing nut setup. I'm afraid to leave them out due to the humidity. As far as the screen it is 9' x 16' and we also take...

Forgot to answer your question. Yes the lazy river has 3 pumps to supply circulation. Two 2 h.p. pumps and one 1.5 h.p. pump. It's more than enough flow and does a good job to keep you in the lazy river loop without having to paddle at all when on a tube.

Dog goes crazy over the laminar jets don't know why but she is crazy trying to bite the water stream when they are on. If I had to do anything different I would have extended the lazy river to at least 50'. We love the lazy river. When we kick on all pumps it's almost too much flow to be a lazy...

Here are some of the latest pics. I'm still waiting for the low voltage to be hooled up for the laminars and 110v outlet for fog machine.

If you are planning on intalling a laminar jet now of in the future they recommend to use a cartridge filter. They have small screens inside them that will get plugged off from DE material or sand. I added 2 laminars to my pool build and had to switch from DE to cartridge.

So far we are very impressed with the look of the pool but honestly I could not recommend my pool builder. I feel like I built this pool myself with all the attention of detail I had to do myself when my PB was nowhere to be found although I probably have a case of OCD when it comes to details...

I paid for diamond brite plaster verde color. The PB used quartz scapes verde color instead I was initially dissapointed until I talked to the plaster guy and he said it had a 10yr warranty and was the same as diamond brite and he could deal directly with the manufacturer in Houston instead on...

Updated pics. Started to rain when the deck crew was scheduled to start on the stamped concrete forms. So I guess it will be delayed until next week. [

Grotto is complete. Finished up plumbing today. Electrical was supposed to show up today as well but they were a no show. Decking should start later this week or early next week. Plumbers cut thru my internet cable digging trenches for the pvc piping so I cannot get online at the house until I...

    Nervous new buider design questions

I had planned on a beach entry as well but was talked out of it by the pool builder because it takes up alot of the pool space/slope to have the beach entry and also birds like to bathe themselves off at the entry. We went with the tanning ledge (8" deep I think) with bubblers. Don't know how I...
