    Pool cover suggestions?

I buy a new one every year. For less than $50 it's not worth cleaning, drying, and storing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Swimline-28-Round-Above-Ground-Swimming-Pool-Winter-Cover-Blue-Cable-Ratchet-/351814892048?hash=item51e9cd3a10:g:MoAAAOSwdzVXt0gg

It's a family owned store. Her brother is the installer. She sent the pics to him. Thanks for your input. I may cancel the party. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    He did what???

When I called lady at the pool store she said it's actually a structural part. She also said since it's only one support it should be OK to swim.

    He did what???

So I had just left the house this afternoon when my wife calls me screaming that my 14 yo son ran the lawn mower into the pool. I raced back home expecting to find 22,000 gallons of water running through my yard. I got to the pool and this is what I found. I called the pool store and they...

    shut off valve

OK So I went to Menards and got a valve. They didn't carry a 1 1/2" threaded nipple so the guy sold me a galvanized one. I'm not comfortable using it. Any advice? Is the galvanized ok? Is there some other combination of fittings I can use to connect the valve to the pump?

Is there any reason to add a valve and the pump also? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    shut off valve

So I'm sick and tired of losing all that precious water while cleaning the basket out. I want to add a valve in the line between the skimmer and the pump. Here are the pics of what I have. Can someone tell me what to buy? Is it best to put the valve near the skimmer or the pump?

    Equipment platform

In looking closer my equipment is on those plastic/composite pads. Maybe I should just level them better and kill the grass that's around them. I just thought they'd be more protected if they were off the ground a few inches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Equipment platform

So...I was out mowing around pool pump and heater today. When pool was installed last year builder put pump and heater on some type of patio stone. Now they're not sitting very level and are difficult to mow around. I hit the thermostat knob on heater and broke it today. I was thinking of...

Yes. We're very happy with the decking. Got a good price on composite deck boards. Ended up being about $600 more to go with composite vs wood. I think that $600 is a pretty good investment against having to stain the deck every few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had someone else do it. It would've taken me a lot of time, frustration, and beers. It's not floating. Holes are 36" deep with concrete footers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But our deck just got finished. Next on the list is some lounge chairs, sunshine, and relaxation. I keep telling myself the time will come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
