I'm not sure if it was salt all of its life, but I know previous owners ran salt and we ran salt as well - lots of corrosion on the top metal

It was installed back in 1999 and we moved here in 2009 so there is no telling - I'd guess a problem would have happened before if that was the case. It is almost funny because if we weren't moving we had talked about tearing it down and I guess it was offended by that.

I have no idea if that was the beginning - that is a good question. I guess that could have been the failure point - I really have no idea how these things are constructed.

FC went from 2 to 1 the next morning and since opening I've never been able to get the FC to even go above 2 with the SWG alone. A few days before that when I did the same thing it went from 2 to 0.

I didn't know that the OCLT thing was actually a test, but that was what I had done the previous night since I left off the SWG and took readings before and after to see if the SWG was doing anything - that is where I got the drop from. So then last night I did the shocking

So since the calculator says 19 shock level it should be safe or should I actually raise it all the way to 19 and then let it drop off?
