Ok, so I am trying to avoid chlorine and thought not having to dealing with the liquid chlorine would be less toxic for him. Are there any non-chlorine/lower chlorine options for my pool? Pool FROG system?
Yes, my new pool is 15,000 gallons and the old one was 6,800. Would this mean that I'd need to add salt more frequently? The intex system has the option for up to 15,000 gallons.
We are starting an expensive 4 month treatment for my son and was wondering if I could get away with the Intex Saltwater System for at least this year? We had one on our last pool and it was great, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Thoughts?
Ok! Will post pics soon. Is it this kit? TF-100 Salt Test Kit
I definitely can't add any liquid chlorine to the pool once we get the SWG- we are trying to get away from chlorine completely b/c of my son. So whichever system I go with definitely needs to be able to use only salt.
I did add stabilizer at the beginning of the summer. Tested CYA today and it is at 0. Chlorine was at 0 and Ph was 8.2. Added acid and chlorine, numbers are good now. On my way in a bit to get stabilizer. Anything else I can do besides brushing?
Is that possible? My pool was doing SO WELL over the summer and now I am seeing black spots on the bottom (that are hard to brush off) after about a week of not being in it. It's definitely my fault for not staying on top of it- we've been so busy. I read that it usually appears in plaster pools...
We took him to urgent care and it's croup.
However, I thought I was supposed to be keeping SLAM at 12, but you are saying it needs to be below that to swim? Water is crystal clear.
