Need advice on a pool cover

I inherited the house with a pool and an old pool safety cover. The pool cover lasted two years and then I moved to a large pool tarp secured by 8 feet water bags and stones. It's a major pain come each opening to remove all the junk from the top of the pool cover. My tarp lasted three seasons...

Need advice on painting a pool

Over the years parts of pool were fixed/patched with cement and they have not been color matched with the rest of the pool. If I want to just clean the pool. Do you guys recommend 1. Chlorine with a scrub (if so, will 12.5% be fine)? 2. TSP (what mix)? 3. or acid wash 1 part and 1 part water?

Need advice on painting a pool

Thanks for all the posts here. I've managed to run my pool for 5 years now. This time around on opening, the pool water was a little more dirty than normal. I drained the pool. I'm going to quick fix some patches. And was thinking of repainting the pool. The plaster is not an option since it's...

Help with wiring a new Hayward SWG from timer

There is a breaker right next to the timer. The wires are coming from that. Links to pictures are below ... http://picpaste.com/20140730_091429-FNpCFOxL.jpg http://picpaste.com/20140730_091444-KslsOxYH.jpg

Help me identify my motor replacement

Thank you ver much. This will work. Any idea on what relay I should buy (I have the hayward aquarite SWG). This board is also nice when later on I want to add a raspberry pi since it allows you to control the custom user functions 1-4 as well.

Help me identify my motor replacement

Looked at this older thread: http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/27285-how-to-control-IntelliChlor-IC40-w-Current-Control-Relay Very cool, but might be more effort than I was looking into put. One option is to keep my manual timer and just tie both the ecotech and swg to it.

Help me identify my motor replacement

That might be another option. But the simpler setup seems to be current driven relay. So the relay detects that current is being drawn (in other words the motor is spinning) and switches on which would in turn switch on the SWG. Just don't know which relay to buy.

Help me identify my motor replacement

Maybe I'm confused how this works. But I was going to have my manual timer always switched on and connected to the ecotech. I would then program the eco tech timer and use the eco tech motor to drive the relay. Then when the eco tech timer switches the ecotech motor on the relay should click in...

Help me identify my motor replacement

I'm not sure what I answered? I was thinking a current relay switch would power up the SWG every time the the ecotech motor comes up.

    1. Pictures of my setup: http://postimg.org/gallery/2hk9s4i4/ I'm looking to order the ecotech motor as replacement (link below). I need to know whether to order the c flange or the square flange. It's only 339 at http://www.hydropool.com/ http://www.hydropool.com/cgi-bin/hydro/search.html...
