Cheers for that puts my mind at ease, I have never seen this behaviour before and it worried me. I may try the tubing mod if I can figure a way of anchoring it in the basket without interfering with flow.

The tech did grease the ring and also the seals on the drain valves. I haven't tried deliberately priming it on low as it has a 3min high cycle before going to last speed set. I can run it on low speed and the water doesn't change much if at all.
