    Cover For inground in ME mountains...

    First year in house with a inground pool, had it relined this spring. I am looking at cover options. With snow loads around here I assume solid covers are tough to use? 100+ inches with 3+feet normal in single storms. Should I have a net cover or what? With the pool dropped below vent lines it...

    Yes, I already switched GFCIs, and the switch. I do not see how it would have gotten wet unless a seal failed on the after shutting it off last night, It did not rain or anything

    Shut it off last night, had been running fine, turn it on tonight, pop goes the GFCI outlet it is wired through.... (no rain etc or anything wet) I have switched switches, GFCI outlets and replaced the rather iffy looking whip to the motor.... Capacitor on the motor looks fine.... pump runs...

    alrighty added enough shock to according to the calc bring it up to FC 4, will test in a couple hours, and have powdered CYA in a sock by the return.

    alrighty pb pool math I should target a ph of 7.5? looks like I need to add 187 oz liquid CYA to bring to 30? I assume it should actually be at 0 as it is from a lake, or should I test it? Water is crystal clear other then some surface bubbles, do I need to start with the SLAM process?

    Update: Tested PH and it is about 7.0 Tested Ta and it appear to be about 3 ppm?

    I bought a foreclosed property over the winter. 16x32 inground pool roughly 18,000 gallons, brand new liner and fill with pond water about two weeks ago. Nothing has been put in it yet except initial liquid shock to clean up the water and some bleach since. Just got a k-2006 test kit...
