Add A Vacuum Port To Intex Pool?

GTTY, TY! As you mentioned, I am considering going over the wall with the intake (split w/ the stock fitting) for the vacuum, possibly having the barb inside the pool for a below the water surface intake controlled by the ball valve. Interesting how you have the filter bag set up. Good idea...

GTTY, TY for the pics! What is the pipe that goes over the wall on the return? Do you have the new(er) Intex with 2 inlets for the pump? Blaib, TY for the reply and the pics!

Add A Vacuum Port To Intex Pool?

TY guys! Blaib, do you unscrew the cap or is it just pressed on to keep dirt out? Need to work on an area next to the pool before I plumb the new filter, if the water thaws from this cold front that moved into Mi yesterday afternoon! Will update on what I end up doing. May try taking it up...

Add A Vacuum Port To Intex Pool?

I am considering adding a dedicated vacuum port to our Intex when I plumb the new Hayward pump. I tried searching but haven't come up with much help. My thought is to have a T at the inlet (stock inlet to pump- haven't mounted a through wall skimmer) to the pump and have the vacuum port come up...

    AG Plumbing: Few Questions

I am getting ready to plumb in a new Hayward Pro pump/ filter system to our Intex 20'x52" and have a few questions. Maybe I should have asked before ordering, but if I place the pump system up near the house, which is about 11' from the pool to house edge (actual straight run of pvc would...

    Intex 20'x52" Bonding Needed?

For those with an Intex deeper than the NEC 42" water depth for bonding: Have you bonded your Intex pools? I am getting ready to plumb a Hayward filter/pump system to our Intex and wondered about this. Maybe it should have been done before, even with the stock Intex pump??? TY!

Re: Hose Conversion Problem - Coleman 16' x 48" and Best Choice Products Pump/Sand Fi Jimmy, Sounds like you are set, but there is an adapter that can be used to adapt the Intex/Coleman fittings if they are the larger ones. Here is a link to one of the threads about it: adapter I just typed...

    New Pump/Sand Filter Sizing Question

I am looking at a new pump/sand filter combo to replace the Intex 1600gph pump/ sand filter combo due to a intermittent noisy pump. Figured for a little more then a pump only I get a bigger filter also. Is there a max size filter for a 3/4 or 1hp pump, or only a minimum size filter for "x"...

    Intex Pool Skimmer

Main complaint most have of this skimmer is it is inside the pool taking up swimming space compared to a thru wall skimmer. I just placed ours next to the ladder to minimize the lost space! Works fairly well once the darn cotton wood trees are done shedding!

Adding a Hayward Thru-the-Wall Skimmer to Intex Metal Frame Pool (PICS!

Great install with pics!!!! One question though, any reason you went with the standard skimmer and not a widemouth, which would save a little water depth? I have considered this as well, just haven't gotten the motivation/ guts to do it! Lol I do have the Intex skimmer which does a decent job...
