Tested the CYA and it is at 22. How many tablets should I put in the sock? Location to hang the sock if my skimmer is being used by the vacuum hose. I am thinking I can tie the sock to the pole of the brush and let it hang a few feet away from the wall in deep water?

I recently added DE powder after cleaning the filters. The filter had some holes which the powder went into the pool causing the base surface to be cloudy. Anyways, I just bought brand new filters but don't know if I should cut back on the DE recommended powder since I recently pour some.

I think I got. Lets say I wire to the 2 - 30 amp breakers for the pump. Each black wire (one wire go to one breaker) from the surge goes to the breaker. Then white goes to the common bus.

Any good instructions on how to install the surge protection listed on the Amazon link. I am interested in just protecting the two 30 amp breakers.

No heater/solar. Just a 48 sq. ft DE filter.

Thinking of replacing my current pump (don't know the name since label is off) to a variable speed pump such as the "Hayward SP2302VSP". I mainly use the pool vacuum (The Pool Cleaner) and don't use the skimmer that much. Would a variable speed pump be ideal for my situation? Thanks, TT
