    replacing t-cell 15

I have replaced it once since putting system in . Now the cell seems to be replaced again. It's probably around 4 years old and does not give accurate salt content even though it is clean. My question is some have said my "board" needs to be newer than 2009 for new cells to work correctly.

    Sand filter vessel

I think I read about that sand on this form. Quikrete thought it may have been bad batch or mislabeled. Any way, other people had trouble with this sand. My only experience was using just once. I backwashed first for a long time. It was very cloudy. When I put on filter mode all seemed...

    Sand filter vessel

We have had a Taglius sand filter for 20 years. This year after putting the Quicrete pool filter sand in, it split open a lateral leak. Could be just age, I don't know. I do know I will not use their sand again. Never the less, in looking at replacements, the Taglius is about $500 and...

My findings on how not all sand is created equal

I bought the quikrete at home depot. Was told to do major backwash before trying to filter the water. Did That and noticed a real slurrey coming out. After two backwashes the sand filter tank burst. Yes the tank was quite old, but thought interesting when I took the sand out, it was very...

Removing and replacing caulking around pool deck

I have read most of the posts relating to this project. Removal: Tried a box cutter and realized that was going to be a month long project. Read on internet to use a carpet knife (hooked blade) worked better than box cutter, still too long too hard. That lead me to finding TFP. Wow. The...

Pool mastic replacement. DIY or not

Thanks for the information. Two questions, why not to use wire wheel, and what is stripping wheel made out of, coated nylon strings? I saw that at a store but seemed like it would not hold up against the cement. Second question: how to have good seal if decking has lifted above pool tile?

    Coping to pool deck joint

Digging out old caulk and found the carpet cutting tool with hooked blade worked better a box cutter, but still hard work. Someone recommended an electric multitool cutter. Several type blades, but the semi-circle with diamond dust works great. Now comes time to refill. Sand has been...
