Intermatic PE153 timer - no display

Hey All - turned power off to the timer to service filters. Switched power back on and no display on the timer. I’ve traced power to the unit, that appears to be fine. FYI, there’s an in-line kill switch before the timer. That’s how I turn off/on power to the timer when necessary. Any...

    Jandy fusionsoft cell connection melted

Thank you again! Appreciate the feedback. My pool is ~17.5k gallons and I have to run the cell at 100% most of the time in the summer, 6-8hrs of pump time/day. I think that the challenge for these is amount of chlorine produced. I'm still a little torn on what to do. Am going to look deeper...

    Jandy fusionsoft cell connection melted

Thanks, Dodger. Did you keep your 1400? If the cell is toast then that will be the 3rd in less than 6 years.

    Jandy fusionsoft cell connection melted

So this happened. Not really sure where to begin troubleshooting. Maybe start with replacing the power cord?

Replacement options for Jandy AquaPure 1400 - move to Jandy TruClear or others?

I've been wondering the same thing lately. At 3 years and 1 month my cell died, was able to get it covered through warranty. Flow sensor just died, $240 seems to be the running price. Pools is coming up on 4yrs old in May. Ping, can you please elaborate on: -- "depending on...how often the...

Possible blockage in suction side line

14 psi is where i'm at after a filter cleaning (and some tapping on the front of gauge). Any thoughts on more troubleshooting?

2 years since filter cleaning and SWCG inspection. How does it look?

Awesome! You're spot on with your assessment and I couldn't agree more. With our water now properly balanced, the SWG is performing like it should and the pool is wonderful. (oh, yeah and it helps that my filters are white again ;) ) This is indeed a great forum!

Cartridge filter cleaning, a lesson learned

Used a brass sweeper nozzle (Amazon and HD have them). Placed the filter on top of an inverted 5 gallon bucket and sprayed top to bottom in sections, rotating the filter. Problem now is that my lawn is going to think that i want it to grow... OK, it's never risen above 10 psi, will look into that.

Cartridge filter cleaning, a lesson learned

Yah, i was pretty disgusted. Even the pool guy was like "wow, i'm surprised your pool looks so clean!" (he stopped by when i was in the middle of this). Question, how long on average do these filters last?

Possible blockage in suction side line

I'll double check tomorrow, but psi is around 8-10. Regarding flow, I have a question: is it ok to run the pump on High Speed with the valve fully turned to the suction side (no skimmer)? When i'm on Skimmer only, Low Speed, flow is great. When I switch to Suction only, flow decreases. This was...

Possible blockage in suction side line

We recently added a Pentair Rebel suction side cleaner to our in-ground pool. I noticed that the little guy wasn't moving as well this weekend and would fall down just shortly after starting up the wall. I decided to get out the gauge that comes with the kit and found that i now needed about 50%...

Cartridge filter cleaning, a lesson learned

Thought i would share a little fun i had today. You see, the last pool guy that i had said that we should clean the filters when the pressure gauge starts to rise..., no need to do it more than that. After a series of dramatic events, we found a new pool guy :D. The new pool guy...
