Bought a property in 11/2013 with a pool. Never owned a pool before. Doing all work/maintenance myself. Pool is 23,500 gallons with large sill-over spa. Gunite pool with Hayward 200lb sand filter, 3/4 HP pool pump, 1/2 HP spa pump, Hayward H400 heater and waterfall. I use a robot bottom cleaner every day during the season. Pool is in full sun all day, not many trees around.
