    Pump question

Thanks. I'm using 240V (it's the old pump's setting). I did not smell anything after, is there any chance the thermal overload protector tripped and protect the pump? Here is the wiring, which looks like 120v setting.

    Pump question

Hi, Yesterday when replacing water in the pool I forgot to close the skimmer:-( the pump ran empty for a while and couldn't prime any more. Just got an almost new one from Craigslist. Installed and started the pump. The pump died right after I plugged to the outlet. Turns out it's wiring to...

    Closing pool...

Hi, I'm closing the pool for the first time. My pool is liner inground, about 50000 L (130 000 gal), sand filter, bottom drain and skimmer. As winter is harsh here in Canada, I'm more concerned about freezing pipe. I read the instruction on the forum but still not sure how to start, esp. which...

When should we close the pool?

Thanks. As this is my first pool, is it difficult to close the pool myself? Should I pay someone to do it? What is the ballpark price for that in Montreal? Pool is inground liner, 50000 L, pump inside cabana with bottom and skimmer drainage with sand filter. Thanks again.

When should we close the pool?

Hi, I wonder when should we close the pool? Should we wait till the night temp falls below zero? I'm from Montreal and it seems that the temp is still above zero for a few weeks. Any guys from Canada here? Mine is inground liner. Many thanks.

How to keep your pool okay with least maintenance possible?

How come? It's at least 30 min for me: Pick up leaves, clean skimmer, take water sample, mix and dispense chem. Not to mention I hate the noise of running pump in my quiet backyard Sign.

How to keep your pool okay with least maintenance possible?

I remember reading some where that you should close the pool as late as possible to keep algae from growing. So it may be two more months (?) for us. I just don't want to spend too much time in those two idle months. Seems that it's not possible. Still ask anyway :)

How to keep your pool okay with least maintenance possible?

Hi, Just bought a house with an in-ground liner pool. I'm totally new to pool things. As summer is more or less finished for us, I'm looking into ways to keep the pool "aesthetically clean" with least maintenance possible. I don't want to run the pump all day as I don't like the noise it creates...
