    Aiper Seagull Pro Review

Both have a 180um filter. Picks up sand fine. Just doesn't get silt/dead algae. But since it stirs up the water a lot, it eventually gets filtered out at the main DE or sand filter. I thought it odd the cheaper versions (E1) have a second 3um filter, but they require flat bottom above ground...

    Aiper Seagull Pro Review

I thought the 250um filter was going to be finer, it's actually coarser. Don't expect Aiper to come out with anything finer, very disappointed. My bad for not researching it more. "If the filter is too fine, it is prone to getting stuck by garbage. Therefore, we introduced a 250um filter with...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Pretty sure they got "mesh" and "micron" reversed and they accidentally made coarser filters. I sent them this to see what they say.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Got my Seagull Pro "ultra fine" 250um basket today. It actually looks coarser than the original! Looking at it with a loop, it has 5.5 holes/rows per 1/10". The original has 6-6.6, which to me says it's finer mesh. I just ran a cycle, debris doesn't look different. Not worth the $30 it...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Plug-in to charge is definitely worth $30 extra! Mine runs 48 hours even if cloudy. The Aiper version advertises 12 hours runtime, if that's true, the SE Plus is a much better deal.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Betta SE Plus is $358 at either place today. If I didn't already have the Seagull Pro, I'd probably buy the S1, although the Pro is cheaper now, knowing me I'd probably buy it again. I only had issues with 2 returns a year ago, so far very happy with it (other than the tire mod I had to make...

Aiper now has a solar surface skimmer with charging

I have both running. Same design, same basket, no issues with either.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Betta is worth $358 imo, it's known reliable. I'd but directly from Betta with warranty (same price). Matching would be nice as long as there's no problems. I wouldn't be surprised if Betta makes both, they look so similar.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

I got word they have 250um filters for the Seagull Pro, not sure about the S1. If you email them they'll send you an invoice ($29) and ship one to you. Eagerly awaiting!

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

I'm curious, since it has a 2 year warranty, does the 3 year make it 5 total? Aiper is good about 30 day money back (I'm sure Walmart is too), and they're good about repairs. No clue about Allstate.

They told me April, hasn't happened.

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

My Pro has no issues, I'm sure the S1 won't have any. Mine has 12-18" radii. It climbs to about the top of the radius then backs up. Gets all the debris around the edges. Does get confused occasionally, seems to rotate a lot when there's no need. If you watch it for a while, you'll think...

    Aiper Scuba S1 Review

Wall mode works well, but you need to start it to the left of stairs (it moves ccw). My stairs mess it up.
