    New pool: pad layout/plumbing

New pool is being installed tomorrow. I poured a concrete pad for the equipment and am just laying everything out. The pump and filter came with a large plastic base. Do I have to use this? I don’t want everything sitting up 4 or 5 inches higher than the concrete. Nothing here is mounted yet...

    High total alkalinity

I have a pool that will be ready to start filling on Wednesday. I sampled a clean bucket of my water from house to get an idea on what to expect. PH was 7.5 and total alkalinity was 230. I read the article here about lowering TA. It did say to not lower unless it’s causing specific problems...

    26' Intex questions

I used to have a bestway steel frame oval pool and I cut in a Hayward skimmer. It supported it fine. That’s what I did. I did have an upgraded pump and filter and larger inlet and return plumbing as well

    New pool: pad layout/plumbing

Yes. I understand. I am referring to running at low speed(less electricity) and lower set percentage output on swg versus running high speed on pump for a shorter time but having a higher percentage output on swg. Swg output setting would be based on run time. is the swg lifespan based solely...

    New pool: pad layout/plumbing

Yes that’s why I won’t just run on low all the time at a lower chlorine output. Will Just run what is needed maybe on high speed. I figure the swg would last longer the less hours it is running possibly?

    New pool: pad layout/plumbing

Ok. I’ve posted a couple times about my soon to be installed pool and and received a lot of answers. It will be a 24 ft pool. I just received a rj45 45 swg today. I’m upgrading from a big steel frame pool so I’m familiar to pools but still learning. So, I guess I’ll need a timer to run the...

Semi inground pool coming soon. Need a little advise

I’m getting a 24 ft Radiant pool installed in a couple weeks hopefully. I’ve decided to use a SWG with help from the site. Couple questions: 1. Should I use all 2 inch PVC and reduce at pool and pump where it is 1 1/2”? I’ll take any suggestions on plumbing I figured to put a ball valve after...

    Radiant pool with SWG

So I called the pool company today to tell them I was wanting to do salt water. Talked to a different person this time. They said ok but acted like I shouldn’t do it. They must make a lot on the aqua smarte stuff. Of course they only want to credit $100 for not taking the chlorinator and a bunch...

Also from a corrosion standpoint, any electrical bonding suggestions? Sacrificial anode? If these questions should go to another part of the forum let me know.
