    I'M BACK!!

    O wow- I hadn't thought of that. We have just had a lot of rain- but I don't see too many leaves in there right now. Just tested after my husband added the cyanuric acid. Free Chlorine-0 ph-7.5-7.8 alkalinity- 180-240 CYA-0 So what do I need to do now? Add Chlorine? Sure do appreciate the help! Susi

    Oh shoot! This morning the test strip says it is almost 0 for the CYA! We did replace about 1/3 of the water yesterday. Should I wait till the evening to start again with the Chlorine? I am in Lufkin! Thanks so much! Susi

    Okie dokie- here are the levels: free chlorine is 1/2 pH is 8.4 TA is 240 and CYA is now 30-50. We have emptied about 1/3 of the water and are replenishing it at this time.     Thank you so much! Yes- my CYA was over 300. My husband put two gallons of the liquid pool shock in it and now it is down between the 30-50 range. We are draining the pool right now- do not have the sand filter, so would you think we still need to empty half of it? Thanks so much again!
