I will double check tonight. Def not out the backwash pipe and I never turned any other valve. I can see water going into the filter. Surely if I had a blockage in the return my pressure would go passed 30 PSI ?

Guys, I just bought a new Hayward EC75a. The filter is pumping water into the filter but the return never goes back into the pool. My PSI is around 30 so I am stumped on what the issue is. From my limited knowledge I am guessing I have an air leak on the return side of the filter ?

Not sure how old it is to be honest. I turned it off since the pressure was at 40 PSI , bumped it and turned it back on.

Sigh, the pressure got too high on my Hayward ec75a filter and burst on the side. :( Is there anyway of repairing this ? Dropping a grand on a new one doesnt sound like my idea of a plan. thanks !

guys, I am looking to supplement the tablets I am using in my 17000 gallon pool. I am using liquid chlorine with is 12.5% sodium H/C. I am wondering if a 1lb packet of shock containing 68% calcium H/C is cheaper/ more conventient and will add more chlorine to my pool. I think 1 packet would...

Hi Guys, Basic question I think but I am not sure of the difference. I had to replace a ball valve and now when I turn on the pump the pressure in the pipe by the ball valve causes the pipe to seperate and spew water. Question. Do I need pipe sealer or the cement ?

hi, The pump is above the water level. No flow when the pump is on. If I take the cover off the basket it is full. When I turned the pump on the water drains but the basket stays empty. Once I turn the pump off the water seems to come back into the basket. I assume this is from the line...

Sorry, yes I am using the aquachek 7way strips. I just moved into this house so and I inherited the chemicals the owner had used. I did not see any calcium hardening chemicals. Its quite possible my hardness is way off ?
