    water a little opaque

K-2006C, I don't understand it either, I will re test FAS-DPD chlorine, and CYA, in a few minutes. I don't really understand the relationship between FC and CYA, I will replace the water if necessary. I did add sodium dichlor-s-triazinetrione hydrated 99%, sanitizer! shock! algaecide! avail...

    water a little opaque

Hope your on, my results yesterday were FC 6.2, CC 0.4, PH 7.4, TA 110, CH90, CYA 100, I'm very frustrated, I've never had this many issues with my chlorine and CYA levels. I've been using bleach on occasion and triclor when I try and get my chlorine level up quicker. Could that be causing...

I have my water balanced except for calcium hardness which is low. I added the metal free and the sequestrant. My water is clean but not as clear as I know it could be. We've had a little rain, but I stayed on top of it, and kept my pool balanced. Any ideas on the clarity of the water. You...

    Metal Stains

Thanks I did read that, am I understanding this correctly. The sequestrant will eventually break down, allowing the metals to re deposit. So since I have metals, (I think iron), I should use a maintenance dose of sequestrant? Also are you saying I shouldn't treat my CH which was 80. Thanks...

    Metal Stains

I'm using a Taylor test kit to test my water, I've read most of the library of topics presented here. My levels are normal across the board except I'm working on increasing my CH now. I used stain free which totally removed the stains from the steps and vinyl side of my pool. I was very...

Todays test results, CYA 75, TC 3.7, FC 3.7, ph 7.7, TA 120, adj TA 97, TH 86 Iron 0, Copper 0 So to address my staining (it's not severe, just on steps and barely visible on vinyl side) Should I wait until my chlorine level drops to in normal range before I add stain free? It's hot and sunny...

Thanks, I have a 28000 in ground, vinyl, chlorine, sand filter, 1.5 hp jacuzzi. I've had the pool for 10 years. My biggest issue has been metal staining. My cya level was above 200, I've got it to 120, and will try and lower it a little more. I've ordered the Taylor test kit so I can avoid...

Hello new to the site, trying to learn how to use pool math because I'm going broke trying to use pool store chemicals. I want to try and use generic chemicals
