Just opened up the pool and got the filter up and running, but having an issue with the SWG cell. The cap will not go back on the cell. I have zero experience with the SWG and was looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

Got it! Thanks....calculator says to add 176 oz by weight. Wow! that is 11 pounds of stabilizer. I am going to start by just adding the 3 pounds purchased today.

The "Liquid shock" is 12.5 percent and sold at bj's wholesale club for 13.50 for a case of 4 gallons. It worked out to be cheaper than bleach. I am not sure if it is as effective as the bleach though. I purchased the granular CYA and now have to figure out how much to use. The pool calculator...

Thanks for the responses. I have been through 16 gallons of liquid shock already, i will keep at it. I am wondering at what point should i add stabilizer to bring up the CYA and at what point after pool is clear should I let SWG take over?

Thanks! I must have entered something wrong the first time. Says to add 247oz of bleach to get to the FC goal of 4 and 272oz of stabilizer to get to CYA goal of 60. I am going to add the bleach tonight and test chlorine again in the morning. Is that enough time?

Thanks for the replies. We may have figured it out. We unscrewed and reset the fitting closet to the pump basket and all seems well so far. No bubble in basket, no air coming out of the returns! :party:
