How do people go years with no problems using pucks?

I started out using bleach and my pool was perfect. But, I have a leak that they cannot find/fix. It was a battle keeping up with everything. I loose so much water that this year I went with pucks. Clear water. Can see the screw heads on the drain covers. Not quite as sparkly as before...

How to clean glass tile at waterline

I use a magic eraser once a month. Cuts the haze. A couple times a year I use a cleaning pumice stone to remove any calcium build up, or whatnot.

Pool Re-Plaster - Tile Inlay on Steps

I did a row of tile on my steps and benches. They did it like yours (mortar bed and plastered on/around the tiles). Looks fine and no issues.

Planning Stage - Need your woulda/shoulda/coulda

Just finished my pool. Well, almost. Still have the punch list to complete. I wish I would have added a light near my equipment. I cannot see if I go over there at night. Oops! I did fake grass in the backyard. I love it. No water, no mowing, no junk near the pool.

New pool/new PebbleSheen. When can I slam?

Thanks. Was filled on thurs 7/31 (and I threw some bleach in). Then I went out of town. Builder did start up and supposedly put some tabs in while I was gone. I came back on Sunday to 0 FC (but water still clear). Added bleach after that and have been testing multiple times per day since...

New pool/new PebbleSheen. When can I slam?

Thanks jblizzle. I'm confidant in my CYA reading (I did it multiple times to get a feel for it in the sun. I thought it was 40 at first). My CYA will go up slightly with the addition of more tabs. My problem is I cannot pass the OCLT and I cannot maintain any FC unless I add bleach every 3...

Pool water drain and replace during a drought

I'm a little new so I'm not 100% up to speed yet. But, there are several threads that talk about a partial drain and refill. Where they will pump from the deep end and fill in the shallow end at the same time. It usually takes a few of these to equate to a full dump and refill. Search for...

New pool/new PebbleSheen. When can I slam?

Hello - I have a new TF-100 test kit. New pool, hence new plaster (PebbleSheen). Plastered on 7/30.14 and filled on 7/31. I keep knocking down the ph every couple of days. That's fairly straight forward, but my real issue is my FC. I am burning through my FC during the day. Water is...

Piers under pool before construction? Expansive soil.

I did chemical injection. The builder said he'd back it no matter if I did piers, injection, or nothing. But I've had a lot of movement with the house and wanted a little piece of mind. It hasn't been long enough for me to tell anything, but fingers crossed...
