I have an all Jandy equipped pool. It has worked very well for me for 10 years. I have finally started having to replace some components this year. Good looking pool you are building!

Fix up Polaris 280 or swap to robot?

I actually have both a robot and a 280. I have had them about 10 years and after rebuilding the 280 a couple of times, this year with hose issues and the backup valve being bad it was going to be close to what a new 280 would cost so I finally replaced it yesterday. Kinda felt bad throwing the...

Jandy Aqua Pure Transformer gets really hot - Wonder if it is causing my issue

I had my pool built 9 years ago, I was a pretty frequent member of this forum and really have had very few issues with my pool except for some sensors or a light or two that I could replace. About 6 weeks ago 3 of the breakers in my pool sub panel blew. One that the pump and Polaris is on, one...

    Jandy LED lights

Lights would just quit working completely after a couple hours of flickering and changing colors. Jandy bought the SAVI light brand and replaced all of mine with those under warranty. No problems now.

Robots VS Pressure cleaners - leave in pool?

I have both, keep the polaris in the pool all the time and let the robot run every couple of weeks. Polaris still does after 4+ years a pretty good job cleaning. I really use the robot to supplement my brushing. If I had to pick just one with the experience I have had with the Polaris and it...

    NO FLOW always on

Did it just stop working? Make sure the sensor is clean. I have the new sensor and every once in a while I get a no flow issue. I have found that Powering down the panel (Hitting the circuit breaker) seems to work every time. Happens to me every few months, not sure why. Almost like you...

Which Pool cleaner is better? help

I have both. The robot actually cleans a bit better and scrubs my waterline on the tile really well. However, since we don't close the pool I love having my Polaris in the pool and on my scheduler running every day when the water is cold and I don't want to lug my robot in and out. Sad...

New Build in Round Rock (Austin), TX - Dig Started

Welcome fellow Austin Pool Builder. I have the Jandy heater and it works great. I preferred all my equipment to be the same. Also I have natural stone and salt and not a single issue. My Austin Builder did not try to talk me out of salt either.

Fire Pit Height is 18 1/2 inches tall Bench sitting area is 18 1/2 inches tall Bench is 27 inches away from pit all along the curve. We had a bit of an argument with the masons when they were building it. They said standard distance between the sitting area and fire pit should be 30 inches...

    Upgrade to iAquaLink

I have both the PDA and Iaqualink....Wanted waterproof device around pool and then wanted to be able to control pool from my phone when not at home. Nothing better than firing up the hot tub so it is ready for you while you are at dinner. It was 3 years ago and it wasn't an upgrade. It was a...
