    Pool deckbox/Pool bench

I second the Suncast with the gas struts from Lowes. It also has metal corner brackets to help make it sturdy. Much better than the ones with flexible plastic pieces in place of the gas struts.

The hole they dug doesn't look that big until you see the kids in there. Go for the spa in the grotto.

    Chemical Balance on covered pool

So I am a relatively new owner of a small covered pool. I have read the pool school multiple times and keep a printed copy near my TFT-100 test kit. I have not had much trouble at all adjusting chemicals thanks to this site and the pool calculator. My question is if I should adjust my chemical...

Fiberglass Pool with Swim Machine Install in Austin, TX

Finally some real progress to post. We've actually been able to swim in the pool 3 times before having to lower the water for inside tile install. The swim machine motor has been placed and all the electrical and gas line work is done: Here the knee wall is almost completed with cement backer...

    White scale in fiberglass pool

Re: White scale in fibreglass pool You guys should maybe start trading information on the manufacturer and build dates of your fiberglass shells. Maybe it has nothing to do with the water chemistry and is instead a defect in the gel coat from a particular manufacturer. It could even be a...

Under construction in texas - water in it finally!

That is impressive on the amount of water it can move. Our pool is only about 3600 to 3900 gallon fiberglass shell depending on who you talk to but I guess maybe it would still work. I didn't run across your build until we had already settled on and ordered the endless pool fastlane. Actually I...

Under construction in texas - water in it finally!

Excellent. Thanks for the vids. I'm guessing that is not even on full power. We are in the process of getting a small pool with an endless pools fastlane machine. I like the look of your system much better but I think it would not really fit with our pool size.

Awesome. Been watching this build for a while. How about some pictures or video of the riverflow in action?

    First Water Test with Tf-100

So my pool is still in the build process. There is water in the pool up to just below the skimmer. We are waiting for the waterline tile to be installed. The pump is running on low. The builder is still "mostly" in control of the water. I just did this test to make sure nothing was crazy out of...

I just bought 2 from HEB for 2.79 each. Dunno if that was a special or not.

2 ns sand vs. pea stone backfill

Everything I have read suggest pea gravel is better than sand. In the middle of our install right now and we used gravel.

Advice needed on flowable fill as backfill

My builder wants to backfill the last 18" of depth around my fiberglass pool with flowable fill. The base and fill so far has been pea gravel. I can't find much information on using flowable fill as backfill for a pool. Does anyone have any advice?

    Question about my new plumbing

Thanks for the responses. I live in central Texas so I'm not to worried about freezes. I have a single 2" return line that feeds 3 eyelets with short (~foot) 1.5" lines. Not as good as 3 separate return lines but the pool is only 3900 gallons. Here is a night shot of my plumbing. After reading...

Fiberglass Pool with Swim Machine Install in Austin, TX

New shell has arrived and been set in the pool. In my excitement I did not take any still pictures of the pool being set. Instead I took a 3 minutes video. I'll see about posting that later. For now here are some progress pictures. More yard destruction with the gravel delivery. Screed-ed...
