I have a Hayward Pro Logic 8 with a wireless Aqua Pod controller. The Aqua Pod is starting to not hold a charge very long and the Docking Station for the Aqua Pod has one prong that is loose and the controller needs to be wedged with some paper to force it to contact the charging prongs and...

    New Build SW Houston

Looking Good! We also live in Sienna and used John with Grand Isle for our build (August 2012). Great builder and to this day still answers any questions I have. Even offered to come out this past January when it looked like I had a leak around one of the pumps. We have referred him several...

    Liquid chlorine automation questions

I just saw this thread. I have had a Stenner for 2 years now and would not go back to daily dosing unless I had to. I followed this thread when ordering my materials and setting it up: http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/51224-Another-happy-peristaltic-pump-injector I agree with the...

    skimmer / main drains plumbing

To answer your questions: 2 Skimmers located on the same wall - really depends on how the pool is shaped and the direction of the wind. I would think it would be better to not have both skimmers on the same wall, just to try and capture the most floating debris as possible. 2 main drains...

My project - Gunite pool 1971 Project

If you have a good test kit, you can test the fill water to see what you are starting with. Is the fresh water from a well or from city / municipal supply? If it is from the city, you should have no problems. If from a well, you might have iron or high calcium that you will need to work with.

    Stenner pump suggestions?

Yes, just like Hawk has mentioned, I have one spare relay on the ProLogic assigned to an outdoor outlet that I have the Stenner plugged into (yes on the 120V version). You can do the same with your Intellitouch also if you have the extra relay. Then just have a timer in the intellitouch that...

    Stenner Maintenance

Just wanted to give a quick heads up to all members that use Stenner pumps. I have had mine installed for a little over a year now with no issues, in fact, it has allowed me to get a little lazy (especially in the winter) in testing my pool as I can usually just look at it and see that it is...

First time pool owner looking for a strategy.

I went back and looked at my charts from this past summer. My pool is around 17,000 gallons and gets full sun from about 10am until 6pm. We live in Missouri City, TX (right outside of Houston by Sugar Land) For comparison, I have the 10gallon per day fixed Stenner pump 45MPHP10 (High pressure...

First time pool owner looking for a strategy.

I have my Stenner on a separate digital outdoor timer that I bought at Lowes or Home Depot. It is a 7 day programmable timer and I currently have the Stenner set to run for 30 minutes around 7pm while the main pump is circulating. (I have the pump running on low speed (2-speed pump) from 6pm to...

First time pool owner looking for a strategy.

I went with a Stenner Injection system as I wanted to be able to control when the chlorine was added to the pool and not just when the pump was running (liquidator). I think you need to decide if you want to use a SWG or Liquid Chlorine to chlorinate your pool. What type of stone / rock do you...
