Best product to use for grout repair!

What is best product to use for cracks in grout between bottom of coping & top of tile? (above water line) I found sanded & unsanded grout in tubes for bathroom repair but it is not recommended for exterior use. Tried caulk but it doesn't last. We live in Pennsylvania so we get freezing &...

Do you really need to fill gap between the concrete & coping

Unfortunately we had other projects to do and we did not get to it. The pool is being closed today. We may still try to do it this fall if the temperature cooperates. We'd have to undo the safety cover to do it. It will definitely get done in the Spring. Top pool priority.

Do you really need to fill gap between the concrete & coping

Yes this is exactly what I'm talking about. Our pool company told us to wait 2 years, pull out the plastic bubble stuff & seal the gap.

Do you really need to fill gap between the concrete & coping

Anthony & Sylvan told me to wait 2 years before doing it. I don't know why you have to wait.

Do you really need to fill gap between the concrete & coping

We were told to fill the gap with some kind of caulking (after 2 years). We have to pull out the plastic filler material first & then seal the gap around the pool. I don't mind it being open. Will it cause repair problems if we don't seal it ... Water seaping under & cracking due to freezing...

    Solar Reel ?

Try to get one with metal ball bearings, not the cheap wooden ones. It's too hard to turn and the wood breaks apart.

    Love skimmer socks.

They trap so much more junk than the filter baskets. Don't have to backwash filter as much. They're also called debris shields & you can buy them from Leslie's.

Solar Cover Warranty - good customer service.

Just wanted to comment on good customer service. My diamond clear solar cover started to fall apart after 2 seasons (our Penna season is only about 3 mons.). Contacted Leisure Living, www.poolsupplies.com, where I purchased cover and they are replacing for free. I only have to pay shipping...

    Solar Panel Installation

Just researching solar panels. Don't know anything about them. Is it easy to install solar panels yourself or do you need a plumber, electrician etc? How do you attach pipes to current system? We would not mount panels on our roof. Can you mount them against a fence? We live in central...

    Purifiber instead of DE

Any of you poolies use Purifiber instead of DE? I was told to use it because it is more environmentally friendly. Do you know where I can buy it on-line? None of the pool companies in my area carry it.

SWCG and Nature 2 Mineral Purifier - do I need both?

I have a Jandy Aquapure SWCG & a Nature 2 Purifier on my pool. Do I need the Nature 2? Can I just take out the mineral catridge? The pool was installed last year so I am a pool novice. I don't want to mess anything up!
