    Staining on Bottom after Repairs

Update: PB's General Manager decided not to drain and acid wash and left the No Drain Acid Approach in place for the last three weeks, while I have been out of town. No difference in staining. The brand new Intellibrite trim ring is completely discolored now. The pump is making a **** of a...

    Staining on Bottom after Repairs

The plaster is at least 10 years old. I grabbed a 5 inch ss brush. It does seem to help, but I don't see if providing a cure. PB offered to drain, acid wash, and refill on his dime. I will post results.

    Staining on Bottom after Repairs

My skimmer cracked around the New Year and I began losing water rapidly. PB gave me a quote to remove and replace skimmer. I decided to add a vac port, autofill and some water features while we had the yard torn up. Pool was drained, repairs and additions were made, and pool was refilled...

Polished Pebbletec Flaking Off of Floor

Jason, Sorry about that. I was short on the info. I do not know for sure if it is a pebbletec coating. I will have a pool builder acquaintance come by and look at it next week. Thanks!

Polished Pebbletec Flaking Off of Floor

I bought the house 5 year ago. Not sure how old the coating is or who put it on. I would say at least 15 years old. Odd that it all just happened over the course of 24 hours. Maybe it was soft and all the kids playing in there crumbled the weak spots?

Hi Guys, Tonight my kids jumped in and started screaming that the pool was falling apart. They have been swimming almost every day for the last week and just noticed this problem. It seems to have occurred overnight. There are about a dozen spots were the Pebbletec has started to delaminate...

    Hello!

Hi Jason, Yes, I am. I am getting ready for a new SWG install, so I have been raising CYA slowly over the last few weeks. We are ready to install the SWG next week, so I will cut the tabs. Might as well do that now as it appears I am at the upper end of CYA for SWGs. Thanks for pointing...

Getting Ready to add New SWG

Last year I bid on an SWG at a charity auction and won. I know, seems silly, but I had researched them extensively and knew what I was looking for. No one else was bidding aggressively, so I jumped on it and took it home. Well, a year later after a complete rework of my home's breaker panel...

    Hello!

It took me 5 years to find a resource I could trust on pool care. Thanks TFP! Studied at Pool School for about a few weeks now. Got my TF100 delivered yesterday! Practicing BBB, but still using my cholrinator. Test results: FC - 21 CC - 0.5 pH - 7.2 TA - 100 CH - 500 CYA - 80 Borates -...
