Thanks Jim I did read that but it had been so long I forgot. Mine really never had that issue early on and even with a normal run and clean, leaving the cable on the deck a bit really does not help much. It feels like this swivel needs some reengineering.

Installing my new main pump I need to replace my outbound side to my filter so I need a new union filter side. Question, all I can find is reference to a 2" union but this pipe is 2 1/2". Am I misinterpreting this?
