High CYA did a water dump next steps to keep it down?

There really is no magic potion or spell that will let you have a sparkling clean pool with little effort. Yes there are steps you can take that will automate some of the tasks, but it really just depends on what effort and $$ you put into it. You are where I was a couple of years ago, same...

    Which Stenner should i purchase????

Here's a little info to chew on while you wait. Based on my recent experience with my new 10gpd pump, I observed it would pump 1oz of liquid into a measured cylinder in about 50 seconds. This is slightly more than the calculated max flow of 0.89 oz per minute. I ended up using a 1oz per minute...

My dry acid isn't dry at all...

I had a container of dry acid once that sat in a very warm storage shed for over a year. When I went to dispose of it there was a small (about 1\2 inch) pool of liquid on top of it. It definitely was not water. The powder underneath had formed into a solid brick. Possibly the humidity from the...

Suction side chlorinator using needle valve

Suction side chlorinator using needle valve

I tried this method for a while. The problem is you cannot easily judge the amount of chlorine being drawn in. "If I close the valve another 1/8 turn, does that mean 0.5 oz less or 0.025 per hr?" There are just too many variables that effect the outcome, i.e. ambient temp, condition of filter...

    HELP! Pump Issues

Your pump is starving for water, there is a blockage somewhere. The hot water is cause by the pump impeller churning the water without being able to move it. Check the skimmers for blockage. Sometimes toys or objects can get in there and not allow them to open, introducing air and starving the...
