24' AG hole in liner with winter cover on

I am stuck with hard choices. As you said, I don't want the walls to collapse. I was thinking to just undo the cover and toss it in the pool, since it has ice on it currently. Maybe fill it up to halfway or so just to protect the walls. Do a new liner in the spring because I'm not sure where...

24' AG hole in liner with winter cover on

Guys, My pool pretty much leaked all its water out and the pool cover (new cover) is on. Haven't pumped any water off so I'm sure it's a leak. It has some water on the cover and I noticed it's starting to tug on the walls. Should I just take the cover off at this point? Any advice would be...

DE Filter Dirty Water returning to pool

I'm having the same issue with my EC50. When I bump 3 times and power on, about the first 5 seconds, I get filth going back into the pool then it clears. Have tried new DE, although not certain on the correct amount being thrown in, really should get a scoop. Anyhow, haven't opened it up yet...

Why has my pH been high this year?

You can add MA to lower the alkalinity, but this will also bring your PH down. You can then aerate to bring up the PH, which shouldn't have much effect on TA. Rain should cause PH to rise a bit because it creates aeration.

CYA very high; run other tests anyway if have to replace water? Newbie

If your CYA is really that high, your shock level will be roughly 47-50ppm, possibly higher depending on which algae you have. That is going to take a lot of chlorine for the SLAM process. When CYA is that high, the possibility of algae bloom is increased because high CYA neutralizes the...

    High TA but low pH?

7.2 is probably the best level to keep your PH. To get your TA down, you'll have to add muriatic acid, this will also bring down your PH. PH can then be raised by either aeration or by using Borax. Aeration takes a bit longer, but is best because it doesn't affect TA. If you use Borax, it...

    Green, but is it algae?

I suspect it's an algae problem because of the FC loss. You need to shock your pool and hold it at shock level until you pass the OCLT.

    Green, but is it algae?

Could be chemical imbalance or bad circulation/filtration. Post your results so we can have a better idea.

    Pool Filter Sizing help

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I know I need to get the better testkit, but I had bought that one before finding this forum, so I'm stuck until I get the funds. I treated with green to blue lastnight and attached are the results. Stuff settled on the bottom. Will vacuum to waste.

    Pool Filter Sizing help

Lol, ok let me clarify. Before the rain, the pool was clear and levels were good with one exception, ph was a tad high. After the rain, pool turned cloudy green and ph went up even further. I immediately shocked and have been maintaining shock level for 4 days now, but haven't noticed any...
