Recovering from a previous owner and a pump replacement

Thanks Household and Isaac. I did not think about a submersible pump. That may be my task for this upcoming weekend.

Recovering from a previous owner and a pump replacement

Cowboy-I have not done the diluted test for CYA. I can try that. Right now the black dot in the tube completely disappears as I reach the 100 mark on the test tube. Thanks. Isaac- I would love to drain some water out. But the main drain on this old pool has been blocked for some reason in the...

Recovering from a previous owner and a pump replacement

Calling in the experts. I have been a member here for a while and have previously taken care of an above ground pool. Over the summer we moved to our "new to us" house and it had a fiberglass in-ground pool. I have been battling the numbers on this pool since we got here. The CYA was off the...

    Replacing a light

I am watching your thread yetis. I just bought a house with a pool and the light is completely missing. Just a hole there. I need to investigate if there is any wire shoved in the hole or not. I will be interested to see what you find out.

We won a new Pentair Racer cleaner... one week after buying a Polaris 280

Congrats on the win. I tried to win a prize from the Treasure Chest at the Kingwood location of your pool store. I had 13 keys but none of them worked. I would make you an offer for the Racer but I don't think it is good for Above Ground pools.

Better and bigger ladder for bigger people?

We bought this ladder for our Intex. I have also included the link where you can read some reviews about it. http://www.amazon.com/Confer-Plastics-7200-Adjustable-Roll-Guard/dp/B001RUOUI0/ref=sr_1_1?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1402662537&sr=1-1

My tests and tests and tests...

Re: My test vs pool store test. This is actually a motor that can be run from two different voltages. It can be set up to run either on 120VAC or 240VAC. It is actually a single speed though. Hope that helps. Randy

Second Return and Fountain for Intex Pool

Great thread. I was looking for a way to cool down the pool. I am curious, where do you get the pool eye's? Did the hardware store have them? Thanks, Randy
